New Delhi [India]: The Indian males and females’s hockey teams which reported for the National Mentoring Camp on Monday, kept in mind the wonderful hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand on the event of National Sports Day which is commemorated to commemorate the birth anniversary of the epic hockey player.
Desiring every person on the occasion, Manpreet Singh, Captain of the Indian Men’s Hockey Group claimed: “The National Sports Day is a fantastic event to advise ourselves of the significance of leading a healthy and balanced life. Lately, with the accomplishments at the globe level in sports across numerous self-controls, kids are motivated to occupy an energetic way of life and also want to devote to affordable sporting activities. We need to nurture a great sporting activities society in the country as well as I feel with events like Khelo India Young people Games being arranged frequently, we are moving in the right direction.” The Indian men’s hockey group, which won a silver medal in the just recently held Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, will now start preparing for the upcoming season of FIH Hockey Pro Organization 2022/23 with India playing the initial phase of their house matches in October as well as November this year.
Mentioning the group’s next target, Manpreet said, “We will introspect as well as analyse in-detail our performance at the Commonwealth Gamings. While there were some good takeaways, there is a whole lot more that we need to do in order to do under pressure and that will certainly be our focus as we prepare for our next jobs.”
Meanwhile, Savita, that led the Indian Female’s Hockey Group to a historical Bronze medal at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, revealed, “I desire everyone on the celebration of National Sports Day. I am bewildered to see a growing number of girls occupy sports to make an occupation from it.”
“Over the past week, when I was back home in Haryana, I did not see an empty play area. Kids were playing some sporting activity or the various other and that is very encouraging. I pity the nation bagging several medals in events like the Olympics, and Republic Gamings to name a few, more youngsters are influenced to take up an active way of living,” she added.
