Tharun Moorthy’s ‘Saudi Vellakka’ Release Date Postponed

After the success of the thriller ‘Operation Java’, the director Tharun Moorthy is making his sophomore directorial venture with the film ‘Saudi Vellakka’. Now the makers have announced that the theatrical release of the film which was scheduled for May 20 has been postponed to an indefinite time which will be announced soon.

Tharun Moorthy, the director of ‘Saudi Vellakka’, took to his official Instagram handle and shared the announcement. Sharing a new poster from the film, the ‘Operation Java’ director penned an emotional note saying that he is in mixed emotions between sadness and happiness to say that the release of his second directorial venture has been postponed.

The director also added in the Instagram note that he has been having a lot of phone calls and marathon meetings regarding the subject and finally the makers decided to postpone the release of ‘Saudi Vellakka’. Tharun Moorthy mentioned in the note that he was really waiting to see the magic of ‘Saudi Vellakka’ unveiled on big screens and to see the reactions of the audience. He also said that the rescheduled date of the film will be announced soon.
Helmed by Tharun Moorthy, ‘Saudi Vellakka’ has an ensemble cast that includes the actors Binu Pappu, Lukman Avaran, Devi Varma, Srindaa, and Sudha Koppa.
Saran Velayudan will be cranking the lens for ‘Saudi Vellakka’ and Nishad Yusuf is roped in as the editor of the film. Paali Francis will be the music composer of ‘Saudi Vellakka’, and the script is written by the director Tharun Moorthy himself.
