Thalapathy Vijay has wrapped up the shooting of director Nelson Dilipkumar’s upcoming film, Beast.
Now, the actor is prepping for his upcoming film with director Vamshi Paidipally. According to producer Dil Raju, Thalapathy 66 will go on floors sometime in March. The producer also revealed that they are planning to release the film on Diwali or Sankranti 2023.
Back in September 2021, producer Dil Raju announced his upcoming film with director Vamshi Paidipally and Thalapathy Vijay. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 66, the film will feature top actors and technicians from across the country.
In a recent interview with a Telugu television channel, producer Dil Raju spilled the beans about Thalapathy 66. He said, “Vamshi has come up with a beautiful storyline. When I listened to it, I loved it. Vijay listened to the story and said that he hasn’t heard a story like this in 20 years. When a star says this, it gives you confidence. The film’s shooting will begin in March. If there are no delays due to Covid-19, then the film will release on Diwali. If it misses Diwali, it will release on Sankranti 2023.”
On September 26, social media platforms were on fire as Thalapathy 66 was announced. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film starring Thalapathy Vijay will be produced by Dil Raju and Shirish of Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Vamshi Paidipally took to Twitter to announce the film and wrote, “#Thalapathy66… Sharing with you all an exciting update about my next film with The #Thalapathy @actorvijay Sir, Produced by #DilRaju garu & #Shirish garu under my home banner @SVC_official (sic).”
