Do you know how frequently you use Google each day? That is difficult to say as Google is more than just a search engine; it is an integral part of our daily life. Sundar Pichai, the brains behind it and the CEO of Google, deserves all the credit for this efficient solution to all of our minor issues.
He started working for Google in 2004 and contributed to creating the Google Toolbar and then Google Chrome, the most widely used internet browser worldwide. He was appointed in 2014 to oversee all of Google’s platforms and products, including well-known ones like Search, Maps, Play, Android, Chrome, Gmail, and Google Apps (now Google Workspace). In August 2015, Sundar took over as Google’s CEO. In July 2017, he was appointed to the board of directors of Alphabet, Google’s parent company.
Sundar Pichai is the CEO of Google and Alphabet, the parent company of Google, and he oversees one of the most influential high-tech companies in the world. But the first technological advancement in his life was the rotary phone.
Pichai, raised in Chennai, India, recalls how neighbors would come over to use the phone to communicate with distant relatives on the day it arrived, 5 years after his parents had applied for one. “It made me realize the potential of what technology is capable of,” he says.
Pichai showed an early interest in technology and a remarkable memory, particularly for phone numbers. He received a scholarship to attend Stanford University after graduating from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur with a degree in metallurgy and a silver medal. After that, he stayed in the country and briefly worked for the semiconductor material supplier Applied Materials before receiving his M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 2002. Pichai worked for McKinsey & Co. for a brief while before joining Google in 2004 as the company’s head of product development and management.
He first focused on the Google Toolbar, which made it simple for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer web browsers to access the Google search engine. He worked closely on creating Google’s browser, Chrome, over the following few years. Chrome was made available to the general public in 2008. Pichai started acting more publicly after being appointed vice president of product development in the same year. Senior vice president by 2012, he was named product chief for both Google and the Android mobile operating system two years later.
Pichai reportedly faced intensive recruitment efforts from Twitter in 2011 and Microsoft in 2014 for the position of CEO, but in each case, he accepted large monetary rewards to stay with Google. He was also rumored to have assisted in the $3.2 billion acquisition of Nest Labs by Google in 2014. It, therefore, came as no surprise to business professionals when Pichai was made CEO of Google, which was reorganized as a subsidiary, when Alphabet Inc. was unveiled by Google cofounders Larry Page and Sergey Brin in August 2015.
Google has concentrated on creating goods and services that offer assistance in both major and little life events under his direction as CEO. It has made investments in cutting-edge businesses like Google Cloud and YouTube and has remained a pioneer in splitting technologies like machine learning and quantum computing.
He oversaw the creation of Google Chrome and the Google Toolbar. Pichai participated in the Android OS’s introduction. During congressional hearings on the data collection practices used by the technology sector, Sundar Pichai represented Google.
Sundar took over as CEO of Alphabet in December 2019, in addition to his position as Google’s CEO. One of the leaders that the entire world looked up to was Sundar Pichai.

But it would be best if you grew from your failures. The CEO claims that in addition to encouraging employees to take a risk, he also wants them to make difficult decisions and emerge from their shells.
And failing too little indicates that you are not ambitious enough. One of the big companies is Google, which also has its internal politics. To ensure the success of his team, Sundar Pichai takes care to follow those rules.
Additionally, he assures us that doing the damage is at least theoretically doable. For his team to create excellent goods, Sundar concentrates on finding, developing, and keeping a fantastic team.
Additionally, his team is well-known among Google’s staff. He encourages good people, according to the former Google employee. He is against liars and opportunists.
