‘Puaada’ Box Office Update: The Movie Makes More Than 13 Crores In Second Week

The Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa starrer ‘Puaada’ seems to be garnering utmost popularity and love from the audience. Despite losing some screens, the movie was able to collect over 1 crore over its second Monday according to the report of Box Office India.

According to the reports, the movie’s total collection so far is around 5 crores across India, and more than 4 crores have been collected from East Punjab alone. And this is only the business made in India.
As of now being the first Punjabi movie to hit the cinemas, after lockdown is working in the favor of the film. Also, to date, the movie hasn’t been in competition with another Pollywood film, and this dynamic will change with the release of ‘Chal Mera Putt 2’ on August 27. This movie is being re-released after the lockdown, as it was pulled down only 2 days after its release in March 2019.

Coming back to ‘Puaada’, the overseas business of the film is noteworthy. In the second weekend, it grosses around $225k taking the total collections to almost $1.1 million. Reports say that in Canada the movie collected $450k; however, an exemplary performance has been set by ‘Puaada’ in the U.K., as after ‘Peter Rabbit’, the Ammy and Sonam starrer has become the only film to do well since cinemas returned in May 2019. Collection from the U.K. has been recorded to more than £200k, which other Punjabi films could not collect even during the pre-pandemic times. Further, according to Box Office India report, the worldwide business of this mad comedy so far is around 13.50 crore.
