Princeton University: A dream University for Students across globe

Princeton University – History: Princeton University, the United States’ fourth-oldest university, is situated in Princeton, New Jersey. The campus is more than 600 acres, with several structures representing a wide range of architectural styles. There are currently 4,635 bachelors and 2,000 graduate enrolled students, with over 700 faculty members. The University of New Jersey was established in Elizabethtown, New Jersey, in 1746 as a coeducational college.

For one year, it was in Elizabeth, and then for nine years, it was in Newark. The college relocated to Princeton in 1756 and was housed at Nassau Hall, which had just been completed on land provided by Nathaniel Fitz Randolph. During the American Revolution, the hall served as a camp and a hospital and was the second home of the Congress.

The University of New Jersey was renamed Princeton University in 1896 when it gained university status due to expanding curriculum offerings. Its Graduate School first opened its doors in 1900. The university established the Institute for Graduate Studies in 1930, the country’s first housing institute for academics.
