Puducherry, Aug 5: Puducherry Lt. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday accorded approval to change of the name of Puducherry Adidravidar Development Corporation (PADCO) to PADSTDCO (Puducherry Adi-dravidar and Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation) for bringing the Scheduled Tribes under the ambit of the Corporation to extend the benefits under various schemes of the Corporation.
According to Raj Niva’s statement, she also accorded sanction for Rs 39.73 crores towards disbursement of the Old Age Pension for the month of July 2021.
The Lt Governor also gave approval for the appointment of Chief Minister as Chairperson and Chief Secretary as Vice-Chairperson to the Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Mother Theresa Post Graduate & Research Institute of Health Sciences (Pondicherry) Society and Perunthalaivar Kamaraj Medical College Society.
