Ace lensman-turned-filmmaker PC Sreeram is one the most prominent film personality in the Indian film industry. Just like most celebrities, the ace cinematographer is also on social media and is quite active as well. Meanwhile, the latest is that the blue tick verification given to verified accounts on Twitter has been removed from his Twitter account.
PC Sreeram wrote, “Suddenly the blue tick I had for twitter account is missing .I hope it’s a technical error. #Twitter should look into it.”
Social media platform Twitter verifies accounts with a blue tick’ in order to inform users about the authenticity of accounts with high public interest. The coveted blue tick on Twitter accounts that are notable and belong to six different categories that include Government; Companies, brands and non-profit organization; News organizations and journalists; Entertainment; Sports and esports; Activists, organizers, and other influential individuals.
There are quite a few reason that Twitter removes the blue tick at anytime without notice.
