‘Maestro’ Gets Leaked Online A Few Hours After Its OTT Release

‘Maestro,’ starring Nithiin, Nabha Natesh and Tamannaah Bhatia has started streaming on an OTT from September 17. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, ‘Maestro’ is a remake of the 2018 Bollywood film Andhadhun, starring Tabu, Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte. The Hindi film has won three National Film Awards: Best Feature Film in Hindi, Best Actor for Khurrana, and Best Screenplay.

Fans and critics have binged watched the Telugu film and shared their reviews on the same. They have been pouring mixed reviews. However, there is sad news that on day 1 of release, ‘Maestro’ has been leaked online in HD quality for free download. The 2 hours and 9-minutes film give an insight into how a piano player pretended to be visually impaired. He unwittingly becomes entangled in a number of problems as he witnesses the murder of a former film actor.

Maestro’s leak is an issue of concern for the makers as it may affect the TRP rating. Nithiin, Nabha and Tamannaah’s popular film has become the latest target of piracy sites such as Tamilrockers, Telegram, movierulz, iBomma, among others. The film is produced by Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy under the banner of Shresht Movies.

However, this is not the first time piracy websites leaked a film. Earlier, films and shows such as Narappa, Vakeel Saab, Aranya, A1 Express, Naandhi, Master, Krack, Rang De, Jathi Ratnalu, Sreekaram, Uppena to name a few. Several severe actions against the sites have been taken in the past but it has been found that the team behind the sites appear with a new domain every time the existing sites are blocked. If they are banned, they take a new domain and run the pirated versions of the movies.
