Actor Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth, who were married for 18 years, announced their separation earlier this week. Their separation has left the fans in shock. The former couple had requested everyone to respect their privacy and the news about their separation has been doing rounds ever since they announced it on January 17.
Now, Dhanush’s father and director Kasthuri Raja has opened up about the separation of Aishwaryaa and Dhanush. Speaking to a Tamil news daily, reportedly stated that their separation is a family quarrel. He also stated that Aishwaryaa and Dhanush are currently in Hyderabad and alleged that he had spoken to both of them over the phone about their separation.
In the interview, Kasthuri Raja reportedly said that Dhanush and Aishwaryaa are having a family quarrel just like how a normal husband and wife do and that does not mean the end. He also further added that he spoke to both of them over the phone and also gave some advice.
Aishwaryaa and Dhanush tied the knot in 2004 after being in a relationship. They have two sons – Yatra and Linga. Aishwaryaa and Dhanush took to their social media handles to announce their separation.
The duo shared a similar statement which read, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, well-wishers, and parents. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. We have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this.”
