And, it’s a wrap for Jeethu Joseph’s directorial ‘12th Man’ featuring Mohanlal in the lead. The team had commenced the shoot on the auspicious occasion of Chingam 1, Malayalam new year – August 17. Mohanlal joined the sets on September 15 after completing ‘Bro Daddy’. The team called it a wrap on Sunday, after 48 days of the shoot. “Last days of 12th Man..” director Jeethu Joseph captioned, sharing a picture with Mohanlal and the team.
According to the reports, Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal’s film will skip the theatrical release and might be premiering directly on the OTT platform.
’12th Man’ is touted to be a thriller and the director had earlier divulged to Kochi Times, that the film is a 24-hour story with suspense. It will be an absolute entertainer and the film has a total of six male and six female characters, however, it doesn’t follow the usual hero–heroine concept. The tag line of the film reads, “Unveiling the shadows.”
Mohanlal has roped in to play the lead character, while actors Unni Mukundan, Anusree, Aditi Ravi, Leona Lishoy, Veena Nandakumar, Shine Tom Chacko, Saiju Kurup, Santhi Priya, Priyanka Nair, and Sshivada will be seen essaying some pivotal roles in the film. Satheesh Kurup is the cinematography director for ‘12th Man’. Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas is backing the project.
As Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph has previously delivered the blockbuster – the Drishyam franchise, cinephiles have huge expectations from the team.
