Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are all set to share screen space with their upcoming action-adventure ‘Fighter’. The film is said to be India’s first aerial action franchise. Hrithik will be essaying the role of an Indian Air Force pilot in the film.
Now, according to a report on a leading portal, Deepika will also portray the role of a pilot. Director Siddharth Anand told the website that the co-stars will be doing a lot of action sequences together. He added that the duo is part of the same team in the movie. The filmmaker added that levelling up the action with Hrithik and Deepika is a challenge for him, especially after his last flick ‘War’.
He went on to say that after ‘War’, the expectations are high from ‘Fighter’. However, Siddharth also feels that as this movie (‘Figther’) will be the first of its kind, there is no benchmark set in Indian cinema yet and whatever they do will become a benchmark for others.
Talking about the talent in India, the director stated that there is no need to hire Hollywood technicians for action scenes. Added that there is a lot of talented people in India and he would love to work with them.
As the film is about Indian Air Force, Siddharth said that the action will be realistic and believable.
The filmmaker wants the audience to experience the film in cinema halls and hence, he is in no rush to start the shooting. He said that the film will go on floors in the first quarter of the next year. Currently, the film is in the pre-production stage.
