Gajar ka halwa, also known as gajorer halua, gajrela, gajar pak, and carrot halwa is a carrot-based sweet dessert pudding from the Indian subcontinent. Ingredients
3/4th cup Sugar
1/2 cup Milk
Carrots grated (thick) – 4 cups
Pista chopped – 1 tbsp
Cashew nuts chopped – 1 tbsp
3/4th cup Sugar
1 tbsp Desi Ghee
1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
Almonds chopped – 1 tbsp
grated – 1/2 cup Khoya
Steps
- Add grated carrots to a pan.
- Heat the pan and cook on medium hot till carrots start sweating.
- Now add sugar and cook till all the moisture is evaporated.
- Add desi ghee and stir.
- Pour milk, sprinkle cardamom powder, pista, almonds, cashew nuts.
- Mix and now add khoya and turn off the heat.
- Stir so that khoya mixes nicely with the Carrots.
- Serve hot.
