Cyberabad police felicitates 14 Good Samaritans, who saved accident victims

Hyderabad, Aug 9: As many 14 Good Samaritans, who had come forward to save accident victims, were felicitated by Cyberabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar, here on Monday.
The samaritans included six Doctors who served road accident victims free of cost, 5 SCSC traffic Volunteers, 32 Police personal, six members of RTAM cell, who all were felicitated for shifting road accident victims, by Sajjanar in the presence of Cyberabad Traffic DCP SM Vijay Kumar, In-charge Jeevandan Programme Dr. G. Swarnalatha and SCSC General Secretary Krishna Yedula and others at Cyberabad Commissionerate Office.
While appreciating the Good Samaritans on the occasion, Sajjanar said that they are the role model for everyone in the society and the Traffic Police Co-ordinators coordinated timely with the hospitals and saved road accident victims.
2000 traffic volunteers are working under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, in this 500 traffic volunteers are working actively and relentlessly who are Software professionals, he said
In Cyberabad , RTAM Cell (Road Traffic Accidents Monitoring Cell) will monitor and analyse all hit and run cases, he said with help of this cell, detected that in more than 200 cases, 50 percent are hit and run cases.
In November 2018, Cyberabad Police started Marojanma initiative with the coordination of Jeevandan Programme.
Many of the Police families came forward to donate the organs of their deceased family members, the CP added.
