Srinagar, Aug 23: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was injured in a grenade attack by militants in the summer capital, Srinagar.
Official sources said that militants lobbed a grenade at a CRPF camp located at Safa Kadal in downtown Srinagar on Monday evening. “A CRPF jawan was injured in the attack,” they said, adding the wounded was rushed to a hospital where his health condition is stated to be stable.
They said the militants managed to escape from the spot during to the chaos created due to the blast, adding additional security forces have been rushed to the area and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers.
