Aurangabad/Mumbai, Aug 13: In the past 24 hours, Maharashtra reported 6,686 new COVID-19 cases and 158 virus related fatalities, stated an official health bulletin on Friday. With the new additions, the state’s cumulative case tally surged to 63,82,086 while the death toll climbed to 1,34,730. Meanwhile, 5,861 patients were discharged across the state during the day, taking overall count of recoveries to 61,80,871. The state’s recovery rate and the fatality rate stood at 96.85 per cent and 2.11 per cent, respectively. Presently, there are 63,004 active cases across the state, the bulletin added.
