It is a known fact that lots of superhit films get remade from one language to another language both locally as well as internationally. Tollywood star Jr NTR’s 2016 superhit film ‘Nannaku Prematho’, directed by Sukumar, is all set for its Bengali remake.
The original version that featured Jr NTR, Rakul Preet Singh, and Jagapathi Babu in the lead roles was produced by BVSN Prasad under his production house Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra.
Leading Bengali actor Jeet and popular actress Mimi Chakraborty will play the lead roles in the remake.
The film is reportedly titled ‘Baazi’ and is directed by Anshuman Pratyush. It is scheduled for October 10th release coinciding with the Durga Pooja festival.
‘Nannku Prematho’ has received several accolades for its storyline and performances. It is an action thriller set in London, where a son takes revenge for his father. It talks about a swindler who cheats an entrepreneur and grabs his wealth. The grown-up hero (son of the entrepreneur) decides to take revenge for his father, who suffers from a terminal disease. Son goes to London to seek revenge against the swindler who is now rich and powerful by befriending his daughter to approach him. The film’s music, which was composed by Devi Sri Prasad, was a chartbuster.
