Amitabh Bachchan Wishes Good Luck To Prosenjit Chatterjee Ahead Of ‘Kakababur Protyaborton’ Release

Prosenjit Chatterjee whose much-awaited action-adventure flick ‘Kakababur Protyaborton’ is gearing up for its theatrical release received a surprise gift from none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan. On Tuesday, the celebrated actor took to his Twitter handle to wish Prosenjit and director Srijit Mukherji all the good luck ahead of the Kakababu film’s release.

Sharing the trailer of the film, Amitabh tweeted, “T 4171 – Prosenjit Chatterjee, ‘BUMBA’ … সকল শুভ কামনা !! His new movie ‘KakaBabur Pratyaborton’ directed by National/ International Award winning Director Srijit Mukherjee releasing Saraswati Puja on 4th Feb ’22.”

An overwhelmed Prosenjit was quick to respond to his tweet as he wrote, Thank you so much Sir @SrBachchan. Your blessings mean a lot!”

For the unversed, ‘Kakababur Protyaborton’ saw its release getting postponed multiple times due to the pandemic. The adventure flick is based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s novel ‘Jongoler Modhye Ek Hotel’. The story follows Raja Roy Chowdhury aka Kakababu (Prosenjit Chatterjee) and his nephew, Santu (Aryann), who go to Nairobi, Kenya, for a relaxed trip. There, they get hosted by a Bengali couple, Amal and Manju. He also gets an invite from an Africa-based Indian businessman and his partner to visit their hotel inside Maasai Mara forest. A few days before their arrival, some German tourists go missing from the hotel. What happens next forms the crux of the film.

The previous two Kakababu films — ‘Mishawr Rawhoshyo’ and ‘Yeti Obhijaan’ – received much love from the fictional character’s loyal fan base. Now, it will be interesting to see how the upcoming adventure drama works at the box office.
