The shooting of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s next ‘Akhanda’ is finally over. A picture features director Boyapati Srinu with fighters from the sets of ‘Akhanda’ has been circulating on social media since Thursday morning. In the film, Balakrishna plays the dual role in which one of the characters will be playing the role of Aghora.
The action-thriller is written and directed by Boyapati Srinu and produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under Dwaraka Creations banner. It features Pragya Jaiswal in the lead role alongside Balayya. The final schedule of the film began in July, and the crew has been shooting in and around Tamil Nadu ever since. The teaser of ‘Akhanda’ that premiered on YouTube on April 13 has since garnered 55 lakh views and counting.

The first lyrical video song of ‘Akhanda’ will reportedly be released on August 15 to coincide with Independence Day. The film marks the third collaboration between director Boyapati and actor Balayya after the 2010 movie Simha, followed by Legend that released in the year 2014. Boyapati made his directorial debut with Bhadra, where Ravi Teja shared the screen with Meera Jasmin. Touted to be an entertainer, ‘Akhanda’ is expected to release in theatres next year. The movie has music by S Thaman. For the movie, the cinematography was taken care of by C Ram Prasad and Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao will be editing the flick.
