Lord’s, London (UK): India scored a 346/7 till Lunch on day two of the second Test against England in the five-match series here on Friday.
Ravindra Jadeja (31) and Ishant Sharma not out were at the crease when Lunch was declared.
Resuming with overnight score of 276/3, KL Rahul (127) and Rahane (1) fell early on day two of the morning session, first it was Rahul who put on just two runs on board before going down to Robinson in 90.2 over and then in 91.1 over Rahane was sent back to the pavillion by
Anderson.
Rahul contributed 129 off 250 balls which included 12 fours and a six, while Rahane scored just 1 off 23 balls.
After Rahul and Rahane’s exit, Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant put up 49 runs for the 6th wicket.
Pant who was going strong was bowled by Wood in 109.6 over. He scored 37 off 58 balls with five fours.
However, in the very next over it was Shami who fell to Ali for a duck.
India on day two of first session lost 4 wickets in form of Rahul (129), Rahane (1), Pant (37) and Shami (0).
For England on day two Robinson, Anderson, Wood and Ali picked one each.
