Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Wife Seeks 10 Crore Compensation In Domestic Violence Case

Rapper-singer Yo Yo Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar had recently filed a case of physical and mental abuse against him under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. Now, the star wife has reportedly sought Rs 10 crore compensation from the rapper, stating that she felt like a farm animal being subjected to cruelty.

According to a report, Shalini’s lawyer revealed that the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tania Singh has issued notice to Singh directing him not to alienate or create any third party rights in the property that is jointly owned by them in Noida or dispose of his wife’s jewellery.

Earlier, Shalini had said he was subjected to numerous incidents of physical, verbal, mental and emotional abuse at the hands of honey Singh and his family.

Honey Singh tied the knot with Shalini in 2011. However, it was only in 2014 that people got to know of his marital status. The singer reportedly did not want his marital status to come in the way of his flourishing career.

According to Shalini, it was during this time that he had lost his calm on her by mercilessly beating her up. Honey Singh reportedly thought she leaked the wedding photos and panicked. She has also claimed the rapper had multiple extra-marital affairs and that during the shoot of ‘Brown Rang De’, he was sexually involved with one of his female colleagues as well.

Yo Yo Honey Singh is yet to release a statement about the allegations leveled against him. As per a report on India Today, “the court has also passed interim orders in favour of Shalini Talwar, restraining Honey Singh from disposing off his jointly owned property etc.”
