Varun Tej’s upcoming film, Ghani, is all set to hit the screens on March 18, 2022. The makers announced the same with a new poster. Earlier, the film was supposed to release on December 24, 2021, but was postponed to avert a clash with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and Ranveer Singh’s 83. The sports drama, based on boxing, is written and directed by Kiran Korrapati.
Varun Tej has been prepping and shooting for Ghani for the past two years. Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the film’s shooting was delayed. Now that the film is complete, the makers announced a new release date.
On the occasion of Christmas, the official Twitter handle of Geetha Arts shared a new poster and announced the new release date. Their post read, “#Ghani is ready to pack the knock-out punch. Worldwide grand release in theatres on MARCH 18th 2022 (sic).”
Ghani is a sports drama jointly produced by Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company. Varun Tej essays the role of a boxer and took professional training to play it with authenticity. Apart from Varun Tej, the film also stars Jagapathi Babu, Saiee Manjrekar, Upendra, Suniel Shetty and Naveen Chandra.
Ghani has music scored by S Thaman. The film’s technical crew consists of cinematographer George C Williams and editor Marthand K Venkatesh.
