Washington [US]: The United States has advised its citizens to rethink their journey in excessive-threat areas in Pakistan due to terrorism and sectarian violence.
In a Level 3 travel advisory issued on Thursday, the United States has requested its citizens now not to tour to Balochistan province and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, consisting of the previous Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), because of terrorism and kidnapping. It recommended that the immediate area of the Line of Control is volatile due to terrorism and the capability for armed war. Cautioning its residents that the terrorist organizations retain plotting attacks in Pakistan, the advisory stated that terrorists might also assault with very little caution, targeting transportation hubs, markets, purchasing shops, navy installations, airports, universities, traveller locations, colleges, hospitals, places of worship, and authorities centers.
Flagging up that terrorists have centered US diplomats and diplomatic facilities in the past, it advised the citizens to remain vigilant in their environment and local events.
