Steps:
Heat a pan and add sesame and dry roast it for 3-4 mins. Remove and keep aside to cool completely.
In a fresh pan add gur and water and bring to a boil. Now strain it into a fresh pan and bring to a boil again till it froths.
Add a tbsp of ghee to get a shine on the final revdi. Boil till gur reaches a hard crack stage. Now add cardamom powder and baking soda, mix and add sesame (retain a handful of the sesame).
Turn off the heat and remove the pan from the stove. Keep stirring the mixture to slightly cool it. Once it is a bit cool but still quite warm to touch and pliable break off a small piece and roll it into a round, dip in sesame and flatten it. Repeat with the remaining mixture. Once cool it will be crunchy and ready to serve.
