Things To Keep In Mind While Cleaning Makeup Brushes

Your beauty kit’s brushes and sponges are the cornerstone of your beauty routine, and just as we clean our clothes, carpets, and other items, we must also clean our makeup brushes and sponges. However, it is frequently observed that we neglect or just do not clean these items. The primary goal of cleaning the makeup brush is to maintain cleanliness and keep it free of dirt. Dirty makeup brushes are full of oily makeup residue, dead skin cells, and bacteria, which can cause infection and allergies, according to studies. Here are a few things to keep in mind when cleaning your brushes.

Make sure your brushes are cleaned at least once a month.

The bristles should be soaked in lukewarm water and not warm water as it may damage the brush bristle.

Wet the palm of your hand with a light shampoo or hand wash to clean your makeup brushes.

Place your palm over a bristle tip and massage it softly.

Using delicate hands, rinse the bristles and allow the excess water to run out.

If you use a towel to dry the brush, the bristles will mildew.

Keep the lower section of the brushes away from the water when cleaning them, as this can cause the adhesive to loosen.

One can also look for cleansing oil stick, which is easily available in the market, to clean the brushes. It is very helpful in cleaning the brushes as it has natural oil and turmeric root extract that removes the germs from the bristles.

Also, never use any electronic machine to wash the makeup brushes as it would harm the bristles.

Always remember that it is very essential to take care of your brushes, if you want to achieve a supple makeup look. Your makeup products would only work on your skin, when you have good and clean application tools. Invest in quality makeup brushes and keep care of the brushes and sponges.
