Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is one of the most anticipated films of 2022. On March 22, the makers unveiled a new poster with the film’s release date. Beast will hit the theatres on April 13, one day ahead of Tamil New Year. Earlier, the makers had announced Beast’s release date as April 14. To avoid a clash with Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2, Beast will arrive one day earlier.
After Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Master, Thalapathy Vijay joined hands with director Nelson Dilipkumar for Beast. The film went on floors last year and is now all set to hit the theatres in a couple of weeks. The film is produced on a grand scale by Sun Pictures.
On March 22, the official Twitter handle of Sun Pictures shared a new poster of Beast and announced the release date. Their post read, “#BeastFromApril13 (sic).” The film received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board of Film Certification.
Since Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 is releasing on April 14, the makers of Beast decided to arrive a day earlier (April 13). This will give an edge to Vijay’s Beast as it will enjoy a solo release on April 13.
Beast is tipped to be a gangster thriller, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor fame. The film also features Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley and VTV Ganesh in pivotal roles.
The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. So far, two songs, Arabic Kuthu and Jolly O Gymkhana, have been released. Both songs have become chartbursters and went viral.
