  • Samsung Galaxy A23 set to feature 50MP camera
    Seoul [South Korea] : Korean tech giant Samsung announced the Galaxy A22 4G and 5G in June with 48MP primary cameras, and now the company will go with a 50MP primary camera for the Galaxy A23.As per GalaxyClub, the Galaxy A23 will come in 4G and 5G versions like its predecessor. However, not all regions may get both models. While the rest of the specs of the Samsung Galaxy A23 remain unknown, the device could come packed with a 5,000 mAh battery.It is currently unclear when exactly Samsung will introduce the Galaxy A23.

    Washington [US]: Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently gave a shout out to Indian talent after Parag Agrawal replaced Jack Dorsey as Twitter’s new CEO. Musk replied to a tweet by Stripe CEO Patrick Collison, who congratulated Parag and highlighted that six US tech giants are now run by Indian-origin CEOs.“Google, Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Palo Alto Networks, and now Twitter are run by CEOs who grew up in India. It is wonderful to watch the amazing success of Indians in the technology world; it is a good reminder of the opportunity America offers to immigrants. (Congrats, @paraga!),” Collison wrote. Musk responded to Collison’s post by saying, “USA benefits greatly from Indian talent!” 37-year old IIT-Bombay and Stanford University alumnus, Parag Agrawal, took over as the CEO of Twitter on Monday, after its co-founder Jack Dorsey stepped down at the helm of the San Francisco-headquartered microblogging platform. Parag has previously worked in Microsoft, Yahoo, and AT&T labs before joining Twitter in 2011. He is the latest Indian origin person to head a leading US-based tech company after Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella, Adobe’s CEO Shantanu Narayen.

  • Next version of Vivo OriginOS coming on December 9
    Dongguan [China]: OriginOS, which is Vivo’s platform of choice for its Chinese phones, is about to get a new version.As per GSM Arena, the new release is coming on December 9 and it will be called OriginOS Ocean. According to reports at least a dozen phones will be in the first wave to receive it. The new OriginOS (which is technically a UI on top of Android’s kernel) will bring improved features for mobile use, as well as easy cross-device navigation with PC and file transfers.Design-wise it will keep the grid system with multiple widgets and gesture navigations which became a hit among Vivo users when the first OriginOS came out.The company will release the official closed beta list once the event takes place in 10 days, but leaksters already revealed its preliminary version.   • Realme confirms upcoming flagship title as ‘GT 2 Pro’
    Shenzhen [China]: Realme founder and CEO Sky Li, on Monday, confirmed that the upcoming device touted to be Realme’s most premium flagship to date will be called ‘GT 2 Pro’ and will be available worldwide.GSM Arena spotted first look at the GT 2 Pro on their sources. According to them, the design is a big departure from the Realme GT and GT Neo2 with a Nexus 6P style camera visor spanning across the top part of the back. There are three visible camera modules housed in the contraption with two 50MP shooters alongside an 8MP snapper. Reportedly, all three modules will offer GR lenses developed by Ricoh which specialize in reducing ghosting and backlight resistance.According to GSM Arena, Realme GT 2 Pro also has flat metal sides and is expected to utilize Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen1. The smartphone is also rumored to bring a 6.51-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, 125W UltraDart charging and Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out the box.
  • Leaks show Honor 60 to sport Snapdragon 778G plus chipset, 12GB RAM
    Shenzhen [China]: Recent leaks for the upcoming Honor 60 shows that the devices will come with a Snapdragon 778G plus chipset and 12GB of RAM.According to GSM Arena, the series which is scheduled for announcement in just a few days on December 1 was recently spotted with a few consecutive benchmarks runs on a site. The leaks offer a surprising amount of details, mostly reaffirming some earlier specs rumours. The Honor 60 and likely 60 Pro will both be running on a Qualcomm SM7325 chipset, which is the model number for the Snapdragon 778G and 778G+.According to GSM Arena, since the prime core in these leaks is reaching clocks above 2.5 GHz, it is safe to assume that we are looking at the 778G+ chip. It appears to be paired with 12GB of RAM, and the phone seems to be running Android 11.As far as other rumoured Honor 60 specs go, it is speculated that both the vanilla and Pro models will be rocking FHD+ OLED panels if similar if not identical size. One might be flat, while the other cured, though. Both of them will come with a 50MP selfie shooter, while the main cam will be 108MP.Some other specs that could be reserved for the Pro include a 120Hz refresh rate as well as 66W charging, as per GSM Arena.

  • Realme 9 series tipped to consist of four models
    New Delhi [India]: The Realme 9 series will reportedly include four smartphones – Realme 9, Realme 9 Pro, Realme 9i, and Realme 9 Max/Pro+.Realme VP Mr Madhav Sheth, in an interview with GSM Arena in September, revealed that the company had to change its plans this year due to chipset shortage and the Realme 9 series’ launch got pushed to 2022. While Mr Sheth didn’t divulge anything else about the Realme 9 series, sources suggest that the lineup will launch in India in Q1 2022.The last variant will be a first for the number series since Realme is yet to launch a number series smartphone with the Max or Pro+ moniker. The former is not new to Realme, though, since the phone maker launched the Realme X7 Max 5G in India a few months ago, which is actually a rebranded Realme GT Neo available in China.Circling back to the Realme 9 lineup, as per GSM Arena, Realme plans to launch all four models in India next February, but we might also see the young brand announce the phones at two different events.We don’t know much about the Realme 9 series right now, but rumours have it that the Pro and Max/Pro+ models will come with the Snapdragon 870 SoC and 120Hz AMOLED screens, and you can also expect them to feature 108MP primary cameras.
  • Huawei Watch D to come with blood pressure monitoring feature
    Shenzhen [China]: Huawei is soon going to launch a new smartwatch and it’s going to come with a pretty rare health feature. The tech giant has received certification for a wearable that will be able to monitor blood pressure. Leaksters found a promo image of the device dubbed Huawei Watch D and immediately posted it on Weibo. It is expected to release at the end of December, reported GSM Arena.The product is in its final stages of testing, and reportedly the accuracy rate is really good. The Watch D will be one of the few wearables to measure blood pressure, and it will also be unique in Huawei’s wearable portfolio with its design. All other watches of the company have either a circular face with two buttons or a rectangular touch screen with one fairly neat button on the right-hand side. The Watch D already obtained a certificate as a State Drug Administration Class II medical device, but it may take a while until Huawei obtains the required approval in other countries.

  • Samsung Galaxy A13 4G production starts in India
    New Delhi [India]: Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy A13 in the following weeks. This phone will come in two versions – the Galaxy A13 and A13 5G.As per GSM Arena, production of the A13 4G has already started in India at the Greater Noida factory, which could mean the launch is fast approaching. A new rumour has claimed that the 4G version will feature four cameras on the back – that’s one more than its 5G sibling. These will be arranged vertically like in the Galaxy A52s 5G. The Galaxy A13 4G is also said to have a glossy, entirely plastic build, which is no surprise at its projected entry-level price point.According to GSM Arena, the phone will have a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom, next to the USB-C port and speaker grille. The power button and volume rocker will both be found on the right edge.The Galaxy A13 5G will be priced at around USD 250, and the A13 4G should definitely be cheaper than that.
  • Apple’s AR headset will arrive with ‘Mac-level’ power, next year
    Washington [US]: Apple’s much-awaited first AR headset will be released sometime near the fourth quarter of 2022.According to The Verge, the headset would be released sometime next year and will have two processors—- one with “the same level of computing power as M1” and one lower-end chip to handle input from the various sensors. Reportedly, the headset has “at least 6-8 optical modules to simultaneously provide continuous video see-through AR services.”There are also speculations that the headset is also said to have two 4K OLED microdisplays from Sony.Various reports on the device have disagreed as to whether it will be wholly independent or rely on an iPhone or a separate processor box to stream content.However, The Verge from certain sources found that the headset’s “Mac-level (PC-level) computing power,” its ability to be operated untethered, and its wide range of applications will work as factors that will differentiate it from competitors.
