Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry was killed in a road crash near Mumbai on Sunday.
According to Palghar Authorities, Mistry was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai when his car struck the divider panel. There were four people in the car, 2 died on the spot, including Mistry, while the other 2 were shifted to hospital.
RPG Enterprises Chairman Harsh Goenka expressed pain over Mistry’s death.
” So sad to come across the stunning news of the diing of Cyrus Mistry in an accident. He was a buddy, a gentleman, a male important. He contributed in producing the worldwide construction titan Shapoorji Pallonji as well as ably led the Tata team,” tweeted Goenka.
Mistry, that was the 6th chairman of Tata Sons, was ousted from the position in October 2016. He had taken over as the chairman in December 2012 after Ratan Tata introduced his retirement. N Chandrasekaran later on took control of as Exec Chairman of Tata Sons.
