Asha Bhosle Became Emotional Remembering Didi Lata Mangeshkar

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 29 (ANI): Legendary singer Asha Bhosle became emotional during the photo installation ceremony of her late sister and India’s nightingale Lata Mangeshkar at Deenanath Mangeshkar Natyamandir Hall in Mumbai.

While speaking to the media, Asha, with tears in her eyes, recalled, “‘My blessings are always with you whether you come here or not. Mai, Baba and I are always there for you.’ Now after her, whose blessings should I seek? Whom should I tell my troubles? When we were very young, then Baba left, and after Mai, Lata didi took care of us all as a father, and today after her. We all have become orphans. I never thought that all this would happen so soon. She should have been with us guiding us for at least a few more years.”

Lata Mangeshkar’s other siblings Hridaynath Mangeshkar and Usha Mangeshkar were also present at the occasion, which was conducted on Monday. Her photograph was unveiled by veteran star Vikram Gokhale.

For the unversed, Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last on February 6 earlier this year. She was 92.

Salman Khan Pays Emotional Tribute To Lata Mangeshkar, Sings ‘Lag Jaa Gale’

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 13 (ANI): Bollywood superstar Salman Khan sang ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ while paying an emotional musical tribute to the late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.

The Indian entertainment industry lost a gem on February 6, when Bharat Ratna awardee, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar left for her heavenly abode at the age of 92 after multiple organ failure. While the nation is still mourning her demise, superstar Salman Khan took to his Instagram handle to pay a musical tribute to the legend.

Khan shared a video in which he could be seen singing Lata’s one of the most memorable songs–‘Lag Jaa Gale’. “Never has been, never will be any1 like u Lataji…,” he captioned the post.

Lata Mangeshkar was cremated at Shivaji Park on Sunday– February 6 in Mumbai with full state honours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present at the funeral of the celebrated singer.

Several celebrities including Shraddha Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan among others also paid their last respects to the iconic singer at Shivaji Park on Sunday.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan expresses grief over Lata Mangeshkar’s demise

              

New Delhi [India], February 8 (ANI): Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, on Monday night shared a heartfelt tribute to late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who left for her heavenly abode on Sunday.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Rai Bachchan shared a beautiful smiling picture of the late iconic singer and wrote, “At a loss for words…Prayers for your Divine Soul to Rest in Peace, Lataji… God Bless In absolute gratitude for you… and all your Blessings… Eternally…”

For the unversed, Lata has crooned many memorable songs for the film ‘Mohabbatein’ that were picturised on Aishwarya including ‘ Humko Humise Chura Lo’, and ‘Zinda Rehti Hain Unki Mohabbatein’.

On Monday Aishwarya’s father-in-law, megastar Amitabh Bachchan also shared a tribute to the celebrated singer on his social media. He shared a throwback video in which he was seen introducing Lata Mangeshkar on stage at an event.

“She has left us .. the voice of a million centuries has left us .. she resounds now in the heavens,” he wrote alongside the clip.

Several Bollywood celebrities including Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Kareena Kapoor Khan among others took to social media to mourn the demise of the legendary singer.

Islamabad [Pakistan] (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday expressed grief over the passing away of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.

“With the death of Lata Mangeshkar, the subcontinent has lost one of the truly great singers the world has known. Listening to her songs has given so much pleasure to so many people all over the world,” Imran Khan tweeted.
Lata Mangeshkar passed away on Sunday at the age of 92.

The megastar had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on January 8 after she was diagnosed with COVID-19 and pneumonia. Though having recovered from COVID, she was put on ventilator support after her condition worsened on Saturday.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences over the demise of the legendary singer and said that she left a void in our nation that cannot be filled.

Lata Mangeshkar In ICU But Shows Signs Of Improvement

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 27 (ANI): Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s team has shared her health status on Thursday via social media.

As per the update on Mangeshkar’s Twitter handle, the veteran singer continues to be in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and was given a “TRIAL of extubation (off the invasive Ventilator) this morning. The tweet stated, “Lata didi continues to be in the ICU at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai under treatment. She has been given a TRIAL of extubation ( off the invasive Ventilator) this morning. Presently, she is showing signs of improvement but will remain under observation of the team of doctors headed by Dr Pratit Samdani. We thank each one of for your prayers and good wishes.”

Lata Mangeshkar’s team has been regularly sharing her health updates in order to dismiss any rumours.

The singer was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on January 10, after she was diagnosed with COVID-19 and pneumonia.

Lata Mangeshkar In ICU But Health Condition Slightly Better

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 22 (ANI): Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s health condition has slightly improved.

On Saturday, Dr Pratit Samdani, who is treating the singer at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, shared the latest health update. “Singer Lata Mangeshkar is still in the ICU ward but there has been a slight improvement in her health today. She has been under medical staff’s close observation,” the doctor said.
A day ago, Lata Mangeshkar’s team issued a statement urging people to not believe in the false news regarding the megastar.

Lata Mangeshkar To Remain In ICU, Under The Supervision Of Doctors

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 16 (ANI): Giving a health update regarding legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, her doctor on Sunday shared that the megastar will still remain in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), under the supervision of doctors for a few more days.

The Bharat Ratna recipient was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai last week and her treatment is still going on. The 92-year-old star is suffering from corona as well as pneumonia. Dr Pratit Samdani who is treating the veteran singer said that “Lata ji is still in the ICU, she still that is why she is kept under the supervision of the doctor in the ICU.”

“Lata ji will remain under the supervision of the doctor for a few more days, it is difficult to say how many days it will last. No one is allowed to meet.”

The doctor also said that there is a need for people to pray for her recovery.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 12 (ANI): Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar will be under constant medical observation for the next 10-12 days as she has been diagnosed not only with COVID-19 but also got pneumonia.

Dr Pratit Samdani, who is treating Lata Mangeshkar at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, said, “She has both COVID-19 and pneumonia. Due to old age, it will take time to recover properly.” Lata Mangeshkar, 92, was admitted to the ICU of Breach Candy Hospital after she tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago. She got in touch with one of her staff members, who was also COVID-19 positive.

The singer had been hospitalised in 2019 as well for a serious lung ailment and pneumonia.

New Delhi [India] (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to enquire about his health condition after the latter tested COVID-19 positive.
PM Modi wished him a speedy recovery from the coronavirus infection over the conversation. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday and went under home isolation on the doctor’s advice, the CMO informed.

New Delhi [India], January 11 (ANI): Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar was recently admitted to a Mumbai hospital after she was diagnosed with COVID-19.

The veteran singer was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on Monday. “Didi is admitted to ICU after she was diagnosed with COVID-19. Dr Pratik Samdani is treating her and he says that there is nothing serious but she needs to be kept in ICU for precautionary reasons seeing her age. We hope she will recover soon. Please respect our privacy and keep didi in your prayers,” Mangeshkar’s niece Rachna told ANI.

Fondly called ‘Nightingale of India’, the legendary singer has recorded songs in over a thousand Hindi films and has sung many tracks in several Indian languages and foreign languages.

Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachchan & Others Collaborates For Patriotic Song ‘Hum Hindustani’

Ahead of India’s 75th Independence Day, legendary artists Lata Mangeshkar and Amitabh Bachchan have collaborated with several other members of the Indian film and music industry for an upcoming song, titled ‘Hum Hindustani’.

The track will see Lata Mangeshkar, Big B, Padmini Kolhapure, Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, Alka Yagnik, and Shabbir Kumar crooning to the patriotic lyrics. Young artistes Shraddha Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Shruti Haasan, Tara Sutaria, Ankit Tiwari, Siddhanth Kapoor, and Jannat Zuber have also lent their voices to the song, which is produced by Priyaank Sharma and Paras Mehta of music label Dhamaka Records.
“The legendary actors and singers who have come together for the first time in this anthem will surely resonate with all and sundry in our emotions for the country and the world as a whole, uniting and spreading love and hope,” Priyaank said.
