‘HC does not trust Mamata’

Reacting to the order issued by the Calcutta High Court over the post-poll violence in the state, the President of the West Bengal unit of BJP Dilip Ghosh said the High Court’s order proved that it does not trust the Trinamool Congress (TMC)-led West Bengal Government over the state issues. WB: Schools may reopen

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said that the government was considering to reopen schools soon. Bengal flood: PM Modi assures her of all possible support.At least 15 people have been killed and nearly 3 lakh were displaced as large parts of six districts of the state have been inundated due to heavy rain. New Delhi, India, August 4 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi telephoned West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday and took stock of the flood situation in the state, a senior official of the state government said. The prime minister assured Banerjee of all central assistance to mitigate the flood situation, he said.
