Mumbai reports 11,317 new COVID-19 cases

Israel’s COVID-19 cases surpass 1.3 million

Tel Aviv [Israel]: Israel’s Ministry of Health on Thursday reported 2,369 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total infections to 1,300,126.The death toll from the virus rose by 12 to 7,867, while the number of patients in serious condition decreased from 487 to 475. The total recoveries rose to 1,259,215 after 5,220 newly recovered cases were added, while active cases decreased to 33,044.The number of people who have received the first doses of COVID-19 vaccines in Israel surpassed 6.16 million, or 65.6 per cent of its total population, while over 5.6 million have taken two doses and over 3.6 million have got three jabs, according to the ministry.

Tamil Nadu reports 1,630 fresh COVID-19 cases, 17 deaths

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India]: A total of 1,630 fresh COVID-19 infections, 1,643 recoveries and 17 deaths were reported in Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours.According to the state’s health department, the cumulative cases recorded in the state are 26,60,553 including 17,231 active cases. With new recoveries, the total recoveries in Tamil Nadu reached 26,07,796. The death toll presently stands at 35,526.To detect the presence of the virus in the population, 1,50,725 samples were tested by RT-PCR in the last 24 hours, taking the total samples tested to 4,66,88,837.Meanwhile, India reported 18,795 new cases on Tuesday. New Delhi [India]: India has recorded 26,964 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry informed on Wednesday.The number of active cases in the country now stands at 3,01,989, which is the lowest in 186 days. According to the ministry, active cases currently account for 0.90 per cent of total cases, which is the lowest since March 2020. As many as 34,167 people recovered from the COVID-19 infection in the last 24 hours, taking the recovery tally to 3,27,83,741.
