SW Monsoon active over Nagaland

Pune, Aug 2: The Southwest Monsoon has been active over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram,Tripura, west Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, said the Indian Meteorological Department here today.

It was weak over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Punjab, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh and Interior Karnataka.

Thunderstorm had occurred at isolated quarters over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Odisha, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, east & west Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh and east Rajasthan during past 24 hours.

Rain or thundershowers had pounded most segments in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Andaman & Nicobar Islands during the period.

They had battered many locations in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, east & west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Kerala and Lakshadweep during the period.

They had lashed a few divisions in Odisha, Bihar, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat Region, Madhya Maharashtra and Interior Karnataka during the period.

Isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, west Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu also received rains during the period.
