Susmita Chatterjee Happy About Her Bollywood Debut In Sanjay Nag’s Next Film

Sanjoy Nag has just wrapped up the shoot of his next, a Hindi anthology with three interlinked stories.

The first two stories in this romantic thriller are being directed by Sanjoy who has previously delivered critically acclaimed films like ‘Memories In March’ and ‘Your’s Truely’. Sanjay shot for his part during Durga Puja in and around Kolkata.

The first story is set in Kolkata it stars Amitosh Nagpal in the lead who has already received accolades for his flawless acting in films like ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Aadhar’, ‘Saina’ to name a few. The film also stars Susmita Chatterjee who made an impressive debut in Anindya Chattopadhyay’s ‘Prem Tame’ last year along with Deboprosad Haldar.

Sharing more details about the story he’s directing, Sanjoy says, “In this story the male character is Anindya who has come to Kolkata searching for his father. He meets a young girl in Kolkata and finds a new purpose in life while searching for something else. And, the story also travels from one place to another.”

Amitosh who has also penned the story stars in the second part of the anthology as well but the backdrop is different there.

Meanwhile, Susmita is super happy to get her Bollywood break within one and a half years of her debut. “I am so lucky that I am receiving such offers. In the film, I play Bela who works in a food delivery store. She leads her life in her own impulse but she is also in search of inner peace in her life.

When asked if there’s any plan to make a Bengali film in near future Sanjoy shares with a gentle smile, “In this situation, it is difficult to make a Bengali film as there are too many risks.”
