National Award winning actress Sruthi Hariharan, who has always stood up for the right and has always spoken her mind out, shared her views on Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan( SRK) being hounded by media and public today during his visit to his son Aryan Khan at Mumbai’s Arthur Road jail. The actress shared that she found it disturbing to see the way everything has been handled.
The actress took to her social media page to share her views and anguish. Sruthi wrote, “After watching some very disturbing videos today of a superstar being hounded by the media and public, post meeting with his son … I give up on trying to understand how these social power structures work. On one side it is heartening to note that nobody is big or small in the eyes of the law … But experience makes me cautious in making assumptions about how the system actually works … WTF!! (sic)”
Sruthi has previously witnessed similar intrusion when she had come forth during the peak of #MeToo movement and spoken about her unpleasant experience on a film set. The actress then had to face multiple trials by both the media and public for speaking about women’s rights. The actress seems to be alluding to these experiences in her post when she hinted that she should not be making any assumptions about how the system works.
Shah Rukh’s son Aryan is currently under trial for his alleged involvement in a drug scandal after he was arrested on a cruise off the shore of Mumbai coast recently.
