Vijay Raghavendra’s upcoming film ‘Seetharam Benoy –Case No. 18‘ marks the actor’s grand 50th release and the makers have given it a unique twist to make things extra special. Slated to have its world release on television first, that too only a day before the official theatrical release, the team of ‘Seetharam Benoy’ has made quite the news on social media for this rather unconventional strategy. Vijay Raghavendra took to social media earlier today to make the announcement.
What seems to be an intense, fast-paced cop drama, ‘Seetharam Benoy’ has been directed by Devi Prasad Shetty who has also written the film’s story. The team had set up camp in the town Thirthahalli back in October of 2020 with a small crew of 22 members handling all the responsibilities. The first look poster of the film was unveiled by Shiva Rajkumar around the same time, on the special occasion of Vijayadashami. Devi Prasad Shetty has also produced the film along with Sathwik Hebbar and MRP.
Having begun his acting career back in 1982 as a child artist, Vijay rose to fame for his role as the vibrant young boy Mutha in T.S. Nagabharana’s ‘Chinnari Mutha’ wherein he featured in the lead role. The film, and the role, fetched him his very first state award and he would soon follow it up with ‘Kotreshi Kanasu’ to win his maiden National Award (as a child artist). A prolific dancer too, Vijay Raghavendra displayed his skills in films like ‘Kallarali Hoovagi’ and others and would also turn dance reality show judge later on. With ‘Seetharam Benoy’ taking him across the grand 50-film line, one would certainly hope that the unique release strategy pays off and earns Vijay his much-deserved success.
