Samantha is all set for the release of her upcoming film, Yashoda. The first glimpse of Yashoda was unveiled today, May 5. In the teaser, we can see Samantha waking up from sleep. She is shocked to see that everything around her has changed. The film promises to be a spooky tale. Yashoda is a supernatural thriller helmed by director duo, Hari and Harish.
Samantha will be seen next in Yashoda, which will release in multiple languages. This will mark Samantha’s first pan-India release. The film is being produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad and will release on August 12.
On May 5, Samantha took to social media to share the YouTube links to Yashoda in different languages. Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “Very excited to present to you the first glimpse of our film #Yashoda (sic).”
In Yashoda teaser, Yashoda wakes up from sleep and finds that the environment around her is changed, including her dress and watch. She then sees a pigeon and tries to catch it.
Yashoda features Samantha, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma and Sampath Raj in key roles.
Sharing an update about the shooting, Sivalenka Krishna Prasad said, “We shot the climax part in Kodaikanal back in April under the supervision of Fight Master Venkat. We’ve wrapped up 80 per cent of the shoot already and pacing up the last schedule in Hyderabad. Shoot will be wrapped up in June 1st week. Special effects also play major role in this film. Our director duo Hari-Harish’s work is impressive. We are planning to release it in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam simultaneously on August 12.”
Music director Mani Sharma, cinematographer M Sukumar and editor Marthand K Venkatesh are part of the technical crew.
