Mumbai, Aug 20: The Rupee on Friday tumbled down by 21 paise at 74.45 against the US Dollar in the opening session owing to rising demand for the US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit was seen weak because of strong dollars against other world currencies amid negative opening in the stock market.
The Rupee registered days high and low at 74. 49 and 74.42 respectively.
