Renowned Film-maker V Vijayendra Prasad At IFFI 2022: “I Don’t Write, I Dictate Stories”

Panaji (Goa) [India]: Renowned film-maker and screenwriter V Vijayendra Prasad, who is acknowledged for his tasks like Baahubali, RRR, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Magadheera, was among the personalities from the Indian film enterprise who obtained honours at some point of the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

“I do not write testimonies, I thieve them. Stories are there around you, be it epics like Mahabharat, Ramayan or actual-life incidents; there are testimonies anywhere. You want to symbolize it in your unique fashion,” stated V Vijayendra Prasad throughout his workshop session.

Responding to the question of a budding story writer, the ace storyteller said, one has to open up his or her mind and soak up the whole lot. “You want to be your own most harsh critic, then best your high-quality will come out, and you may take your work to unscalable heights”, he asserted.

Sharing his experience of writing for the blockbusters like Baahubali and RRR, Shri Prasad said, “I don’t write, I dictate memories. I have the whole thing in my thoughts; the go with the flow of the tale, the characters, the twists”. He stated one appropriate author has to cater to the needs of the Director, Producer, Primary Protagonist and Audience.

Vijayendra Prasad is currently running the story for the sequel to the worldwide blockbuster ‘RRR’.
