Washington [US]: Reese Witherspoon will headline and executive produce Amazon’s comedy series ‘All Stars’, as the collection is getting a two-season straight order.
According to Variety, a US-based news outlet, the show centres on Reese Witherspoon as a former cheerleader from Daytona Beach who relocates to coastal England to train cheerleading. “I’ve been looking for a project that introduced our Hello Sunshine assignment to make women the heroes in their own stories to a more youthful technology for the long term. When I noticed this story, I knew this concept could do that. Watching an American woman come to share the American recreation of cheerleading with a collection of young girls within the U.K. made me so excited! I love that this show is packed with real heart, deep pleasure, and the energy of teamwork,” Witherspoon said in a declaration quoted in a report by way of Variety. “I cannot wait to partner with the excellent, hilarious, and gifted Aline McKenna another time to create a virtually unique comedic individual, and with the team at Amazon whose passion for this project was unparalleled.”
Lauren Neustadter will government produce Hello Sunshine along Witherspoon. The display’s author and showrunner could be Aline Brosh McKenna (“The Devil Wears Prada,” “27 Dresses,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”), who will even direct the pilot and 1/2 of the episodes and govt produce via her Lean Machine label.
Hello Sunshine supplied the idea to Brosh McKenna, who wrote and directed the Netflix movie “Your Place or Mine,” a good way to be released on February 10 of subsequent year and starring Witherspoon.
Following “Daisy Jones and the Six,” to debut on Amazon on March 3, “All Stars” is the second written collaboration between Hello Sunshine and Amazon.
