Ranveer Singh Says, ‘We Have All Become An Actor Because Of Shah Rukh Khan’

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, on Friday, at the trailer release of his upcoming comedy film ‘Cirkus’ referred to actor Shah Rukh Khan an “idol”.

During the media interaction on the trailer release, Ranveer mentioned Shah Rukh Khan and stated, “Shah Rukh Khan has been the king for years and we’ve got all emerge as an actor due to him. He is our idol and his contribution to the enterprise is considered one of a type. It’d be a big aspect if I gain even a little of what he did.”

The trailer of ‘Cirkus’ was unveiled on Friday and obtained big responses from the target audience.

Helmed by Rohit Shetty, ‘Cirkus’ also stars Johnny Lever, Varun Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar, Mukesh Tiwari, and Siddharth Jadhav amongst several others.

Set in the 1960s, ‘Cirkus’ trailer revolves around Ranveer in a twin position, with both the twins unaware of each different’s existence. Varun Sharma too performs a double role in this family entertainer.

While Ranveer has two love pastimes in Pooja and Jacqueline already, he is joined by actor-wife Deepika Padukone for music in the trailer. Deepika could be visible dancing in a unique track with Ranveer. With the trailer, Rohit also offers a touch of the new universe he plans to create with the Golmaal franchise.

Cirkus marks Ranveer and Rohit’s third collaboration after Simmba (2018) and Akshay Kumar-starrer Sooryavanshi, wherein Ranveer made a cameo appearance. The movie is scheduled to release on December 23.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan will be next visible in an upcoming movement thriller, Pathaan, alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

He also has Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ and south director Atlee’s ‘Jawan’.

Ranveer, however, may also be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ along side Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.
