Ram Charan, Jr NTR’S ‘RRR’ Box Office Collection Day 4

Director SS Rajamouli’s RRR had an eventful Monday (March 28) at the box office. Despite seeing a normal drop in collections, the Jr NTR and Ram Charan-starrer is performing exceptionally well. The film entered the Rs 500 crore club in just three days worldwide and is still continuing its run. RRR is a fictional war drama set in the pre-Independence era.

RRR, produced by DVV Danayya, was released in theatres on March 25 after several delays. The film turned out to be in the making for 3.5 years. Though Rajamouli planned to release it in 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic forced them to wait for a long time.

Film critic and trade analyst Sreedhar Pillar wrote that the film saw a normal drop on Monday in Tamil Nadu, but has held on its own. He also spoke about the film’s extraordinary feat of grossing over Rs 500 crore.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala pointed out that the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions of RRR are equally famous in the UAE and other international circuits.

RRR is a period action drama based on the lives of Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The film was bankrolled by DVV Entertainment on a huge budget of Rs 450 crore. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani, Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody form the supporting cast.
