Rajinikanth’s ‘Thalaivar 169’ Titled ‘Jailer’, Check Out The First-Look Poster

It was back in February 2022, that Superstar Rajinikanth reported his next project, Thalaivar 169, with director Nelson Dilipkumar. Whiz Rajinikanth’s Thalaivar 169, coordinated by Nelson Dilipkumar, is presently Jailer. The creators, Sun Picture, took to Twitter to share the new title alongside a first-look poster.

In February this year, Rajini fans were in for a sweet shock when Thalaiva and director Nelson declared that they are working together for a film named Thalaivar 169. Then, we read that Kannada genius Shivarajkumar has been roped in for a critical job in the film. Truth be told, we additionally read that Rajinikanth will begin going for the film in August. Yet, before the shoot starts, we currently have a genuine title for Thalaivar 169.

Earlier today, June 17, the creators, Sun Pictures, took to Twitter to report this radiant news, something that Thalaivar fans have been anxiously hanging tight for this while. Alongside two first-look banners, the tweet read: “#Thalaivar169 is #Jailer (sic).”

Corrections officer will be Superstar Rajinikanth’s next big-screen outing post Annatthe. While the cast and team of Jailer are yet to be declared, in a meeting with Cinema Express, Kannada hotshot Shivarajkumar affirmed that he is a piece of Rajinikanth’s film. He said, “It’s a great opportunity for anybody to act along with Rajinikanth, and I’m glad that this project has made it possible for me. He has known me from my childhood, and I share a special bond with the senior actor. Irrespective of the role, I’m glad to be part of this film. I’m sure fans will love to watch Rajini Sir and me together on the silver screen.”

Aside from Shivarajkumar, reports propose that any semblance of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu are in talks for significant characters.

In the same interview, he confirmed the shooting schedule of the film. “As far as I know, the team is planning to begin filming in August. In all likelihood, my portions with Rajini Sir will be shot either in Bengaluru or Mysore in September,” Shivarajkumar added.
