‘Puzhu’ Starts Rolling Today

Mammootty and Parvathy Thiruvothu starrer upcoming film ‘Puzhu’ has gone on floors on Tuesday (August 17), on the auspicious day of Chingam 1 (Kerala New Year). The makers have started the shoot with a muhurat puja, followed by a switch-on ceremony. Mammootty graced the film set in a stylish avatar and the Megastar was seen decked up in a classy printed shirt, beige pants, and glasses.

‘Puzhu’ is helmed by debutant director Ratheena. Although ‘Puzhu’ is Ratheena’s first independent project, she is no stranger to cinema. She has been working in the movie industry for quite some time and has also worked along with filmmakers including Revathy Asha. The film also marks the first association of Mammootty and Parvathy Thiruvoth. The title poster of the film was launched on International Women’s Day and the cinephiles were eagerly waiting for an update about the movie.

‘Puzhu is based on a story by Harshad, while the script is crafted by Harshad, Sharfu, and Suhas. Theni Eshwar will crank the lens, while Deepu Joseph is in charge of the edits. Jakes Bejoy is scoring the film’s music, while Vishnu Govind and Sreeshankar are handling the sound department. Manu Jagadh is the art director, and Sameera Saneesh is the costume designer.

Meanwhile, ‘Puzhu’ is backed by S George and Dulquer Salmaan’s production house Wayfarer Films will be distributing the film.
