‘Pushpa’: Anasuya Bharadwaj’s First Look As Dakshayani

Anchor-actor Anasuya Bharadwaj will essay the role of Dakshayani in Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘Pushpa,’ directed by Sukumar. Much to the delight of fans, the makers of ‘Pushpa’ took to social media to unveil Anasuya’s first-look poster from the film.

We bet you would not have recognised Anasuya Bharadwaj in the first look poster. Her look is fierce as she holds a sharp antique nail clipper, and her appearance suggests she will be seen playing a character with negative shades. It must be noted that Anasuya has stayed away from roles that are not performance-driven. Be it the mystery thriller ‘Kshanam,’ in which she essayed ACP Jaya Bharadwaj, ‘Gayathri’ in which she played the reporter Shreshta Jayaram or ‘Rangasthalam’ in which she was seen playing Kolli Rangamma or ‘Thank You Brother,’ she has impressed people with her performance. After this track record, ‘Pushpa’ will be something to watch out for.

Sharing the poster, the official Twitter handle of Pushpa wrote, ”She is arrogance and pride personified. Introducing @anusuyakhasba as #Dakshayani.”

‘Pushpa’ is directed by Sukumar and the cinematographer for this project is Mirosław Kuba Brożek. The film, bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, will have music scored by Devi Sri Prasad. Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Dhananjay, Sunil, Harish Uthaman, Veenela Kishore and Sritej in pivotal roles. The first part of ‘Pushpa,’ ‘Pushpa-The Rise,’ will release in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada on December 17, 2021.
