‘Puaada’ Box Office Collection Of First Week

After the lockdown, the Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa starrer ‘Puaada’ became the first Punjabi movie to hit the theatres. Released on August 12, today the movie has completed its first week’s run at the box office, and reportedly it has been able to make a good collection in this time frame.

According to the report of Box Office India, the movie has been able to collect a little under 4 crore. Interestingly, the movie has been able to make these numbers with an odd 60 screens. The movie began with 50 screens and then considering the flow, gradually more screens were opened.

The report also stated that on Thursday a little drop was seen in the numbers as Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bell Bottom’ made it to the cinemas. Having said that, the movie has still been able to make better numbers than the other films that were released earlier this year.

First-week collection of ‘Puaada’
On Thursday, which was August 12, the movie made a business of Rs. 51,00,000, and on Friday it was Rs. 46,00,000. Thereafter, on weekends i.e. on Saturday and Sunday it collected Rs, 70,00,000 and Rs.83,00,000 respectively. Further, on Monday the collection was Rs.40,00,000, on Tuesday it was Rs.38,00,000. On Wednesday, the numbers were 36,00,000, and on Thursday they were 25,00,000, leading to a total of 3,89,00,000. Directed by Rupinder Chahal, ‘Puaada’ is a Punjabi romantic comedy. The movie is being lauded for the punches and gags that have been incorporated into the script effortlessly. Further, not just the lead stars, every actor in the movie is gaining an appreciation of his or her part. Also, the movie’s music has been able to impress the audience.
