Revealing the real reason for the businessman’s arrest, public prosecutor Aruna Pai had informed the Bombay High Court that he had started deleting WhatsApp groups and chats, thus ‘destroying evidence’. Raj Kundra’s IT associate Ryan Thorpe has also been arrested in the matter accused of deleting the evidence.

The public prosecutor had also revealed that the Mumbai crime branch had seized 51 pornographic films from two apps, reportedly Hotshots and Bolly Fame. Apart from Raj Kundra, the cops are also investigating the role of Yash Thakur aka Arvind Shrivastava. It is being reported that he played a significant role in the distribution of adult content produced by Kundra’s company. Denying these allegations Thakur told in an interview “I have clarified through my lawyer that Nuefliks is a US-based company and I was hired as a consultant. I have never spoken to Raj Kundra or any of his associates.”

Gehana Vaisith, who is out on bail in the porn case involving Raj Kundra, had claimed that the Mumbai Police demanded a bribe of Rs 15 lakh to avoid her arrest. Commenting on the same, Yash Thakur said in an interview, “I have heard Gehana’s interview where she has mentioned the police asked for money and that is true. She arranged some money. Her lawyer told me that the police were demanding money and asked me if I can arrange some more money as Gehana could manage to arrange only Rs 6 to 7 lakh. About 10 to 15 lakh was demanded as per the call from her lawyer.”
