Actress Pooja Hegde took up the Green India Challenge and planted saplings after getting nominated by actor Sushanth A.
MP Santosh Kumar took to social media to share pictures of Pooja planting saplings and clicking selfies with them, writing, “Thank you #PoojaHegde ji foraccepting #GIC nomination from @iamSushanthA garu and planting saplings as part of #GreenIndiaChallenge. Hoping that your huge fan base across India would replicate what you have done today, in the interest of the better future. (sic)”
Pooja Hegde stated that her mail goal by taking up the Hara Hai To Bhara Hai initiative was to hope for a better India. She replied, “Ty sir. A Greener India. That’s the main goal. I accepted the #HaraHaiTohBharaHai#GreenindiaChallenge and further nominating My Harry, aka @akshaykumar sir and my Bangdu Maharaj, aka @Riteishd to plant a tree and continue the chain. It’s a great initiative by our government. (sic)” and nominated Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh and Akshay Kumar to take it up.
Numerous Tollywood actors have taken up the initiative and planted saplings in a bid to encourage fans to do the same. Dulquer Salmaan was one of the latest celebs to do so when he was in the city to promote Kurup. On the work-front, Pooja will soon be seen in Radhe Shyam and Acharya. She has also given her nod to star in Trivikram’s next with Mahesh Babu. She’ll also soon be seen in Beast apart from Bollywood projects.
