Actor-director Digpal Lanjekar’s upcoming historical film ‘Pawankhind’ has created a lot of buzz on social media. Today, on the occasion of ‘Rajmata Jijau Jayanti’, the makers have unveiled a new character poster featuring Mrinal Kulkarni.
In the film, veteran actress Mrinal Kulkarni will be portraying the historic character of Rajmata Jijau.
As we know, Rajmata Jijau Jayanti honours Rajmata for her role in shaping Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life, the strong upbringing she gave him and how it helped him become the great leader of the Maratha empire.
‘Pawankhind’ will showcase the valour of Baji Prabhu Deshpande in the battle of ‘Pawankhind’ in which 600 Maratha soldiers took on 10,000 Bijapuri soldiers led by Siddi Jauhar.
The film is slated to release on January 21, 2022.
