Park Seo Joon Leaves Seoul To Begin Work On ‘Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels’

It is finally time for South Korean actor Park Seo Joon to get into superhero mode and begin work on the ‘Captain Marvel’ sequel starring Brie Larson.

Early Friday morning, the actor was spotted at the Incheon International Airport, catching his flight out of Seoul. According to reports, the actor and his team – including his manager and his bodyguard, were scheduled to leave for Los Angeles, California today.

Dressed in comfortable casuals with a bucket hat, the actor tried to dodge the paps as he made his way to the airport.

In a statement to Korean news portal Soompi, Park Seo Joon’s team said, “We thank the many people who have shown interest and support for Park Seo Joon as he takes on this new challenge. We are well aware that many people are curious about the name of the film in which he will be appearing, his character, the filming location, and his filming schedule, but we plan to reveal the details of the movie at a later date.”

News that the actor bagged his first Marvel role, came in the form of an IMDB update that seemingly confirmed he had joined the ensemble cast featuring Brie Larson, Zawe Ashton, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani.

With this, he is now the third Korean actor to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While Brie will play Captain Marvel, Iman will star as Ms Marvel and Zawe as the main villain, Park Seo Joon’s role is still a mystery. However, according to fan theories and several media reports, speculations are rife that the star may join the ranks of heroes and play Amadeus Cho a.k.a Brawn. Buzz is that he could also bring a version of Marvel Boy to life on the big screen with this upcoming film.
