Amidst the recent happenings surrounding the debutant director Liju Krishna being taken to police custody following an alleged rape filed by a young woman, the team of ‘Padavettu’ has announced that they have wrapped up the shoot for Nivin Pauly’s political drama film.
It was actor Sunny Wayne who officially announced the wrap-up of his debut production film ‘Padavettu’. The video of Sunny Wayne announcing the pack up for the film from the sets of ‘Padavettu’ is now making rounds on social media.
In the video, Sunny Wayne is seen holding a mike in the shooting set and announces the pack-up of ‘Padavettu’. A loud clamor of applause from the crew could be heard in the background as Sunny Wayne announce the shooting wrap-up of the Nivin Pauly starrer.
Recently the shooting of ‘Padavettu’, which was happening at Kannur, Kerala, was stopped temporarily as the director Liju Krishna was arrested by the Info Park police on the charges of an alleged rape filed by a Woman on March 6 at the Kakkanad Info Park station.
Supporting the survivor, the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) also came forward urging the film bodies to bar director Liju Krishna from the film industry until the verdict on the alleged rape attempt.
‘Padavettu’ is one of the highly anticipated projects of Nivin Pauly and the fans were pretty worried as the shoot was stopped mid-way. Now that the shooting of the film has wrapped up, further details on ‘Padavettu’ are expected to be announced soon by the makers.
Apart from Nivin Pauly, the political drama film has an ensemble of talented and promising cast that includes ‘Aruvi’ fame Aditi Balan, Manju Warrier, Shammy Thilakan, Shine Tom Chacko, Indrans, and Vijayaraghavan.
The music of ‘Padavettu’ is composed by Govind Menon under the lyrics penned down by Anwar Ali.
